An human chain towards independence
The Catalan Way will be a 400 km (248 miles) human chain organized by the Assemblea Nacional Catalana (ANC) that will happen in Catalonia on Onze de Setembre of 2013. Hundreds of thousands of Catalans will join their hands to form a vast human chain across the country, from north to south, following the Catalan coastline.
But this human chain will extend beyond the borders of our country and reach everyone who is a friend of Catalonia and supports the people’s right of self-determination. Therefore, between August 1 and September 11 small scale replicas of the Catalan human chain will take place in the main cities of the world. In Melbourne we will gather on 1st September at the Information Point of Federation Square in an unique event that you can not miss.
We will record some images that will be included in a video that the ANC will use to promote the Catalan Way, to encourage participation, and to internationalise the issue of Catalan self-determination, seeking the support and complicity of other countries. If you would like to be part of Catalan history and join your hands with your Catalan neighbours and friends come on the 1st of September to Federation Square.
