150 supported The Via Catalana organised by the Catalan Cultural Centre of Victoria on Sunday 1 September 2013. The aim was to put their hands together and let the world know the Catalan people have the right to choose their future as a nation. The event was held at the Princes Bridge in St Kilda Road, Melbourne.

This human chain is one of the 90 other chains that have been organised around the world outside Catalunya and replicate the main Via Catalana of 400km that happened in Catalunya 11 September 2013.
